Groove Army Academy
Groovies!
We’ve opened a school, our very own Academy. We’ve finally listened to the wishes of many. There is a regular drumming course led by Tokhi and the best players of the Groove Army Alpha Team.
Level and age don’t matter! Everyone will get to play an instrument! You don’t have to bring anything. Just have some comfy clothes with you. Some may decide to bring earplugs for acoustic comfort, and some may want to bring their own knee pads if they want to play the surdo.
We welcome everyone eager to play, to get to know our facilities, new collective of great people and experience a fantastic show!
Lessons start from the very basics, but even more advanced players won’t be bored. We will work together to make sure everyone gets to be part of the orchestra, regardless of their current level. The best players will have the opportunity to play shows with us!
The price of the course includes the lessons + instrument rental if you don’t have your own.
Lessons take place at our premises, a short walk from the Depo Hostivař metro station (green A line).
We drum every Thursday at 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

You may also attend in the form of open class, meaning that you can come at any time to any class without having to have paid for the entire course. Open class is paid on the spot, the price again including instrument rental.
Each open class costs CZK 300, and a card with 10 visits costs CZK 2500.
Those interested will be added to the Academy’s secret group where everything is discussed internally.

And who will teach you at the academy?
Tokhi
Founder and leader of the Groove Army. Under his leadership, all lessons and / or rehearsals of the band take place. He has been at the forefront of the music scene since high school and has learned from the best.
Roman
Over the years, he became Tokhi’s right-hand man. An experienced drummer who masters most of our instruments teaches or leads the orchestra on days when Tokhi is not available.
